Established [T-ZCB], an evaluation system for CO2 emission reductions, and began verification testing at its own facilities.
Sep.09.2022
To promote the construction of Zero Carbon Buildings that achieve net zero CO2 emissions during the life cycle of the structure, Taisei first visualized the CO2 emissions throughout the building's life cycle and the effectiveness of CO2 reduction technologies at the initial planning stage, and then constructed a T-ZCB (Zero Carbon Building) as a system that systematically evaluates the decarbonization of the structure.
To achieve a carbon neutral society by 2050, determining and reducing the CO2 emissions produced during a building's life cycle (see Fig. 1) is absolutely imperative, not only for designers and construction entities but for the customers who will own and operate the building. The T-ZCB system visualizes and assesses the CO2 emissions produced during the building's life cycle and the effect of reductions in each phase of the building's life (procurement, construction, operation, repair and demolition). The major technologies that contribute to reducing CO2 emissions are combined and coordinated with Taisei's ZEB construction technologies to plan building construction in a staged manner and achieve the Zero Carbon Building.
